Patrick J. Adams and Sarah Rafferty, stars of the hit legal drama Suits, are eager to reunite with former cast members on their recently launched rewatch podcast, Sidebar: A Suits Podcast. Among those invited to join is Meghan Markle, who played paralegal-turned-lawyer Rachel Zane on the show.
Adams shared that Meghan, now 43, reached out to him following the podcast’s debut to express her support. During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, he elaborated on the possibility of her joining the podcast, describing it as something he and Rafferty are both excited about.
“We made sure to let the cast know about the podcast, explaining that it’s focused on telling our own experiences from the show,” Adams said. He added, “Especially with Meghan, her life has obviously changed so much since Suits ended, but she’s always been supportive of us.”
Meghan, who left the series in 2018, sent Adams a thoughtful message congratulating him and Rafferty on the podcast and asking how she could contribute. Adams mentioned that while no specific plans have been made, the door is open for her to make an appearance. “We’re looking forward to seeing if we can make that happen,” he said.
Adams made it clear that any conversation with Meghan on the podcast would focus solely on her contributions to Suits. “Our goal with Meghan is to celebrate what she did on the show,” he said. “Rachel Zane was such an important part of my character’s journey, and I’m grateful for the way she brought that role to life.”
While reflecting on the dynamic between his character, Mike Ross, and Meghan’s Rachel Zane, Adams noted the impact of their storyline on his experience with Suits. “The relationship between Mike and Rachel was a huge part of my time on the show, so we’d just be focusing on celebrating that.”
In a previous Reddit post, where Adams interacted with fans and first revealed Meghan’s supportive message, he addressed questions about how it feels to have a former co-star who is now part of the British royal family. He acknowledged that Meghan’s life has taken a dramatically different turn since leaving Suits. “She lives a very different life now for obvious and important reasons,” he said, adding that while they don’t communicate regularly, her gesture of support was deeply appreciated.
As Suits continues to find new fans through streaming services like Netflix, Adams and Rafferty are excited to relive the show’s memorable moments and hope to welcome former cast members, including Meghan Markle, to share their own stories from the set.
