Pedro Pascal’s morning coffee routine became an internet sensation, but the overwhelming attention left the actor feeling somewhat violated.
The 49-year-old star, currently promoting the highly anticipated second season of The Last of Us, recently addressed the viral moment during an interview.
During his appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the Game of Thrones alum was asked about his extreme caffeine habit, which took social media by storm. His infamous order—a venti iced quad espresso with extra ice and six espresso shots—had fans both amused and concerned.

“There’s so much context to why it became six shots of espresso,” Pascal clarified. “At some point, it just happened, and it was an incredibly private morning ritual that I never wanted anyone to know about.”
Kimmel, taken aback by the sheer amount of caffeine, quipped, “This isn’t even coffee; this is a meth-accino.”
Pascal, who will also be seen in Gladiator II, laughed off the reaction, explaining, “You sip it! You sip it, you get really high, and then you answer emails and stuff.”
Despite the viral frenzy over his coffee order, Pascal remains focused on his upcoming projects. Fans can catch him in The Last of Us Season 2, set to premiere on HBO on April 13, 2025.
