The Disturbing Eye Poster: No CGI, It’s Pete’s Real Eye

In an exclusive interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Pete Davidson shared an unsettling fact about the film’s promotional poster, which features a close-up of an eye with a needle hovering just above it. To the surprise of many, Pete admitted that the eye in the image is actually his own—with no CGI involved.

“I read the script and thought, ‘That won’t be my eye. This is the movies. It’ll be a CGI eye,’” Pete confessed. He explained how he initially expected special effects to create the disturbing scene, especially considering that movies often digitally recreate dangerous moments.

The Risky Scene and On-Set Precautions

Despite his initial doubts, Pete revealed that he ended up sitting in the chair, enduring the needle scene with his real eye exposed. The comedian admitted to feeling nervous, especially given the risk of “real damage.” To ensure safety, the production team had medical professionals on standby during filming.

Pete also shared a humorous exchange with the director, James DeMonaco. When Pete questioned why his real eye was being used, the director responded, “You have very recognizable eyes.” Pete’s reaction? “No, I don’t. My eyes are normal, sir,” he joked.

A Unique Experience Despite the Fear

Even though Pete Davidson was initially uneasy about the scene, he revealed that the experience turned out to be enjoyable. This unexpected behind-the-scenes insight offers fans a rare glimpse into the commitment and risks actors sometimes take to bring authenticity to their roles.

The Home promises to be a gripping psychological horror movie, and Pete’s revelation only adds to the anticipation. Fans can expect a thrilling performance as Pete pushes boundaries in this latest project.
