Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, were recently spotted sharing a warm and affectionate moment at the Invictus Games. The royal couple was photographed beaming with joy while sitting in the bleachers, enjoying the wheelchair basketball finals in Düsseldorf, Germany.
Prince Harry couldn’t contain his affection for his wife during the sporting event. Photos captured him whispering sweet nothings into Meghan’s ear and tenderly draping his arms around her shoulders. Markle reciprocated with adoring looks, and they cheered enthusiastically for Team USA as they competed against France.
Both Prince Harry and Meghan donned all-black outfits for the occasion. Meghan wore a black tank top paired with matching jeans, while Prince Harry opted for a black button-up shirt and black denim.
This appearance marked the couple’s first joint participation in the Invictus Games, as Meghan traveled from Los Angeles to join Prince Harry for the week-long event. During a reception for athletes’ friends and family, Meghan expressed her apologies for her late arrival, explaining that she had been busy taking care of their two children, 4-year-old son Archie Harrison and 2-year-old daughter Lilibet Diana, managing school drop-offs, and other family responsibilities.
“It is so special to be here, and I’m so sorry that I was a little late for the party,” Meghan said during her speech. “Just like so many of you, we know this is about family and friends and the community that Invictus has created … and so I had to just spend a little bit more time getting our little ones settled at home. Getting milkshakes, doing school drop-off, and then I just landed a couple of hours ago. I am thrilled that the first event that I can do with Invictus is here with all of you.”
The heartwarming display of affection and unity at the Invictus Games underscores Prince Harry and Meghan’s dedication to charitable work and their strong bond as a couple.
