Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s approval ratings in the UK have reached an all-time low, according to the latest YouGov polling data.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s recent actions, such as Harry’s revealing BBC interview and Meghan’s controversial business ventures, have been largely blamed for the decline in their public favorability, as reported by GB News.
Currently, only 20% of Britons hold a positive view of Meghan Markle, with a significant 65% expressing negative opinions of her — marking her lowest approval rating to date. Prince Harry’s popularity has also taken a hit, with just 27% of the UK viewing him favorably and 63% holding a negative opinion, which represents his lowest rating in two years.
Meghan Markle’s Rebranding Efforts Fail to Gain Traction
Royal correspondent Cameron Walker referred to this decline as a “steady fall” in popularity. Walker noted that Meghan’s attempts to rebrand herself — including the launch of her American Riviera Orchard lifestyle line and the release of her Netflix series, With Love, Meghan — haven’t had the desired effect.

“Some people found it to be an easy watch,” Walker said of the Netflix series, “but many viewers didn’t think it was impressive, especially since it wasn’t filmed in Meghan’s own kitchen.”
Harry’s BBC Interview Adds Fuel to the Fire
Prince Harry’s approval rating also dipped further after his recent BBC interview, in which he discussed his fight to regain UK security and his accusations against the institution. “He essentially said it was unfair and that the institution was out to get him,” Walker explained, adding that the interview came across as somewhat of a “rant.”
Royal Family Still Enjoys High Approval Ratings
While Harry and Meghan’s popularity continues to slide, the Prince and Princess of Wales remain beloved by the public. Prince William holds an impressive 75% approval rating, while Kate Middleton trails closely with a 72% approval rating.
