Netflix has dropped the official trailer for POLO, a highly anticipated docuseries produced by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle through their Archewell Productions. The five-part series offers an intimate, behind-the-scenes glimpse into the competitive and thrilling world of elite polo, highlighting the sport’s passion, challenges, and high-stakes moments.
Prince Harry, who plays an integral role in the project, described the series as “an unprecedented, behind-the-scenes look into the passion and determination driving some of the world’s elite polo players, revealing the grit behind the glamour.” He further emphasized the goal of the docuseries to showcase “the true depth and spirit of the sport — and the intensity of its high-stakes moments.”
The series follows professional polo players as they compete in the prestigious U.S. Open Polo Championship, revealing the personal and professional challenges they face. Among the athletes featured is Harry’s close friend, Nacho Figueras, an international polo star who has played a pivotal role in the production.
The trailer teases the intensity of the sport, with a voiceover declaring, “Polo is not just a sport. Polo is a lifestyle. We eat, we breathe, we sleep polo,” and concluding with the powerful words, “For legacy. For courage. For glory.”
Figueras, who has known Harry for years, expressed his excitement about collaborating on the project. “It’s an honor to do anything with him. He’s a dear friend. This is more his project than it is mine. It’s an honor to know that I was able to help,” he said in an earlier interview.
POLO is set to premiere on Netflix on December 10, offering viewers a closer look at one of the world’s most prestigious and glamorous sports.
