Prince William and Kate Middleton are preparing to celebrate a major milestone as they mark their 14th wedding anniversary on April 29, 2025, with a heartfelt trip to the Isle of Mull. The celebration comes at a crucial time, as the Princess of Wales continues her recovery following her recent cancer diagnosis.
Royal expert Jennie Bond shared with The Mirror that the couple’s relationship has only grown stronger through their recent hardships.
“This anniversary, being their first after Catherine’s remission, will undoubtedly feel extra special,” Bond said. “Every milestone moves them further from the devastating day of her diagnosis.”
Bond also emphasized the equality within their marriage, praising William’s active role in parenting.

“William is far more hands-on as a father than previous generations, and Catherine ensures he remains involved,” she explained.
William and Kate’s relationship, which began during their university days at St. Andrews, has weathered its fair share of challenges, including a brief breakup in 2007. However, Bond believes that their deep-rooted friendship has been the key to their lasting bond.
“Theirs is a genuine love story, built on the strongest foundation: friendship and shared experiences from their university years,” Bond said.
Despite their strong connection, future challenges await the royal couple. With King Charles currently battling cancer, Bond noted, “They face the significant responsibility of eventually becoming King and Queen, a burden that must weigh heavily on them. But together, they remain resilient and united.”
