Prince William is reportedly set to make a special appearance in a future season of the hit Amazon Prime series “Clarkson’s Farm,” marking a surprising crossover between royalty and reality television just years after the show’s host, Jeremy Clarkson, made headlines for controversial remarks about Meghan Markle.
According to a recent report from The Times, the Prince of Wales will feature in the “next-but-one” season of Clarkson’s Farm, following the premiere of season four on May 23, 2025. While the trailer does not reveal William’s cameo, his involvement was hinted at earlier this year when he met series regulars Kaleb Cooper and Charlie Ireland at an event in Bristol celebrating the Duchy of Cornwall’s new generation of farming tenants.

During the visit, Prince William shared a lighthearted message from his son, Prince George. “You’ve got George watching now,” he told Cooper, joking that George said, “Tell Kaleb to mind his language.” Cooper, who is known for his candid and sometimes explicit language, took the advice in stride and expressed appreciation for the show’s family appeal.
“Clarkson’s Farm,” which first aired in 2021, follows former Top Gear host Jeremy Clarkson as he navigates life as a farmer on his Diddly Squat Farm in the Cotswolds. The show has become one of Amazon Prime Video’s most-watched originals in the UK, praised for its authenticity and humor.

However, Clarkson remains a polarizing figure. In December 2022, he faced backlash for a column in The Sun in which he expressed disturbing sentiments about Meghan Markle, stating he “hated her on a cellular level” and referencing a violent scene from Game of Thrones. The article sparked widespread outrage and a record number of complaints to the UK’s Independent Press Standards Organisation (IPSO), which later upheld the claims of sexism.
Though Clarkson issued a public apology, a spokesperson for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex clarified that only Prince Harry received a personal letter. The statement emphasized that Clarkson’s remarks were part of a “long-standing pattern” of hateful rhetoric rather than a one-off mistake.
Despite past controversies, Clarkson’s Farm continues to resonate with millions of viewers. The addition of Prince William to the cast — even in a limited role — is expected to draw significant attention and potentially broaden the audience even further. His involvement also aligns with his ongoing work with the Duchy of Cornwall and efforts to support sustainable agriculture in the UK.
With Clarkson’s Farm Season 4 set to launch soon and a royal cameo on the horizon, the series shows no signs of slowing down — controversy and all.
