Stars Scarlett Johansson and Jonathan Bailey endured some of their toughest stunt work yet while filming the blockbuster sci-fi thriller Jurassic World Rebirth. The highly anticipated movie took the global box office by storm during the July 4 holiday weekend, showcasing thrilling action sequences that pushed the actors to their limits.
One particularly demanding scene was shot in Thailand, where Johansson and Bailey had to hang mid-air using tight ropes and heavy harnesses. For several days, the pair swung off cliffs and climbed artificial rocks, enduring physically exhausting conditions. Bailey humorously admitted that the harnesses caused him “a full week of wedgies,” while Johansson revealed the challenge of staying calm with ropes pulling in multiple directions.

The action intensified when filming moved to Malta, where the cast battled strong water cannons. Despite being drenched from head to toe under the scorching sun and having wet clothes cling uncomfortably to their skin, both actors maintained focus to deliver authentic performances.
Directed by Gareth Edwards, Jurassic World Rebirth features a star-studded cast including Johansson, Bailey, and Mahershala Ali. The film marks a new chapter in Universal’s beloved dinosaur franchise.
The movie proved to be a massive box office hit, grossing an estimated $318.3 million worldwide by July 6, 2025. In the United States and Canada alone, it earned $91.5 million during the three-day weekend and reached a five-day total of approximately $147.3 million. International markets contributed an additional $171 million across 82 countries.
These impressive figures place Jurassic World Rebirth among the biggest franchise launches of the year and rank it within the top 40 highest global box office openings in history.
Fans can expect more breathtaking action and intense storytelling as this new installment pushes the dinosaur saga to exciting new heights.
