Music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, currently facing serious legal trouble, claims that ongoing mental health issues are interfering with his ability to manage his defense.
As reported by TMZ through newly obtained court filings, Diddy is requesting that a Columbia University medical expert be allowed to testify. The expert is expected to argue that Diddy’s mental health, reportedly impacted by alcohol use, may have affected his judgment and behavior during the period of the alleged incidents.
While the specifics of Diddy’s mental condition remain undisclosed, prosecutors argue that the defense did not give sufficient prior notice regarding plans to introduce testimony about how alcohol or drugs may have influenced his memory or mental state.

Furthermore, prosecutors challenged the credibility of the proposed testimony, noting that the doctor has never personally treated Diddy and would be speaking based on broader clinical experience rather than individual evaluation. They argue this makes the testimony irrelevant and potentially misleading for the jury.
The case against the I’ll Be Missing You rapper began in 2024, following raids conducted by Homeland Security at his residences in both Los Angeles and Miami.
If convicted, Diddy faces a potential life sentence, with a minimum of 15 years for sex trafficking charges. An additional 10 years could be added if found guilty of charges related to prostitution.
