Selena Gomez Called an “Angel” by Jennifer Aniston for Guiding Her on Social Media

Jennifer Aniston is opening up about the surprising person who guided her into the often overwhelming world of social media — Selena Gomez.

In a recent interview with People magazine, the 56-year-old Friends star revealed that the 33-year-old singer and actress has been nothing short of an “angel” in helping her feel more at ease online.

“Selena helps me lean into social media. She’s so effortless when it comes to that. And she’s just an angel who I love spending time with,” Aniston shared.

The Hollywood icon first joined Instagram in 2019 to promote her haircare line LolaVie, starting with its Glossing Detangler product. Since then, she has slowly found her comfort zone in the digital space, thanks in part to Gomez’s influence.

Aniston also credited her longtime friend and former Friends co-star Courteney Cox for sparking her creative side when it comes to product design. “What haven’t I learned from Courteney? We usually talk interviews or design. It kind of bores people to tears when we get into a room together. But it’s what we love. It’s our love language,” she said.

Despite her growing online presence, Aniston admitted she’s careful not to get caught up in endless scrolling. “I’ve been trying not to doomscroll. I try to stay away from the noise as much as possible. Thankfully, my algorithm is animals, architecture, hair and spiritual affirmations. So it’s not that doomy,” she explained.

When she’s not working, the Murder Mystery and We’re The Millers star prefers a calm and grounded evening. “I come home, I’m with my dogs. I’ll put on music. I’ll talk to some friends on the phone, like people used to do. I like to just zone out to a great documentary, find something that’s going to be light on my heart and make me laugh. Maybe have friends over for dinner.”

For those keeping up with her personal life, Jennifer Aniston is currently dating wellness expert Jim Curtis after experiencing several high-profile heartbreaks.
