SZA has expressed her admiration for Taylor Swift and hinted at the possibility of a future collaboration. During an appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show on March 21st, SZA shared how she fangirled over the pop superstar during their interaction at the 2025 Grammys.
“Every time she walks up to me or approaches me, I’m just like, ‘All right, this is happening, because that’s fully Taylor Swift,'” SZA gushed. Their meeting left the Saturn hitmaker starstruck, revealing just how much she admires Swift and her work.

SZA also revealed that she had already mentioned to Swift that she would love to collaborate with her. “I think I mentioned that I would love to write with her and build some things together. I love her storytelling. She was open to it. I think she’s awesome. She’s so bossed up,” SZA said, hinting at the potential for future musical magic between the two stars.
In the same interview, SZA went on to praise other artists whose storytelling resonates with her, including Gracie Abrams, Lola Young, Doechii, Olivia Rodrigo, and Chappell Roan. The Kill Bill singer clearly has a deep appreciation for the art of songwriting and the power of strong narratives in music.
This isn’t the first time SZA has expressed her admiration for Swift. Back in 2023, when both SZA’s SOS and Swift’s Midnights were competing for the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 chart, SZA made it clear there was no animosity between them. “I don’t have beef w ANYONE especially not Taylor lmao I genuinely loved her album and the writing!” she wrote on social media, showing her respect for the pop sensation.
As SZA gears up for her highly anticipated joint tour with Kendrick Lamar, which starts on April 19th in Minneapolis, fans are eagerly hoping that the collaboration she teased will come to fruition in the future. Whether it’s a songwriting session or a full-blown musical partnership, the prospect of a collaboration between these two incredible artists has fans buzzing with excitement.
