Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Face Backlash Over Podcast Survey Amid Kanye West Feud

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s relationship continues to captivate fans and stir controversy — this time involving both a revived feud with Kanye West and backlash over a podcast-related misstep.

Since going public with their relationship in September 2023, the pop superstar and the NFL champion have been the subject of intense public attention. Most recently, the spotlight intensified following reports that Swift has taken legal action against rapper Kanye West over a fresh round of vulgar accusations. The long-standing tension between Swift and West has now seemingly drawn Kelce into the fray.

According to sources, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end is eager to confront West directly in a “man-to-man” conversation, determined to defend Swift and clear the air. However, as the drama escalates, Kelce has found himself in hot water for another reason entirely.

Fans of Swift — known as Swifties — have criticized a listener survey tied to Kelce’s New Heights podcast, which he co-hosts with his brother and fellow NFL player, Jason Kelce. Distributed by Wondery, the podcast’s network, the survey included questions many fans deemed exploitative and disrespectful.

The questionnaire asked listeners to identify why they tune into the podcast. While options like “football-specific commentary” and “Kelce family dynamic” were expected, several choices directly referenced Swift — including:

  • “I was drawn to the prospect of hearing details and clues about Taylor Swift’s life and her relationship with Travis.”
  • “I like feeling like a part of the community that supports Taylor’s happiness outside of her music.”

Outraged fans quickly labeled the survey as “pathetic” and accused the network of “clout-chasing” by attempting to capitalize on Swift’s name and fame. Social media buzzed with criticism, prompting Wondery to quietly edit the survey and remove the Swift-related questions altogether, as reported by Page Six.

Neither Kelce nor Swift has issued a public statement on the matter, but the controversy highlights the delicate balance of fame, privacy, and public perception the couple now navigates.

With legal battles brewing and fan scrutiny at an all-time high, Swift and Kelce remain one of the most watched — and talked about — celebrity pairs of 2025.
