Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce could become the ultimate power couple this football season, especially if Swift graces the stage during the highly anticipated Christmas game day.
Rumors have been swirling that the 35-year-old singer might perform ahead of her Super Bowl headlining appearance, with Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos not ruling it out. In a recent interview with Variety on March 19, Sarandos responded to a question about Swift’s potential performance, saying, “That’s a good challenge!”
Sarandos recalled Swift’s involvement in last year’s football season, referencing her presence at a game between Kelce’s team, the Kansas City Chiefs, and the Pittsburgh Steelers in December. However, despite the buzz, reports claimed Swift was not actually at the event.

While Sarandos is optimistic about the possibility of Swift taking the stage during this year’s Christmas game, he also expressed Netflix’s interest in securing a Super Bowl broadcast deal someday. “It’s a tough economic model to thread for them. They get so much money from the networks. But in general, with the [November 2024] Jake Paul-Mike Tyson fight, we were supporting a Super Bowl-sized audience. We can certainly support it technically,” Sarandos shared.
Last year’s Christmas Day game saw a memorable performance by Beyoncé, who took the stage in her home state of Texas. The event, dubbed the “Christmas Game Day Beyoncé Bowl,” featured the global icon performing many of her hits from Carter. Now, with Swift’s rumored involvement, it seems Christmas game day could be even more star-studded this year.
With both Swift and Kelce making waves in their respective industries, this collaboration has the potential to turn the holiday football game into a must-watch event. Fans are eagerly awaiting confirmation on whether the pop sensation will take the stage and help make this football season one to remember.
