A Documentary Series About “MH370: The Plane That Disappeared” is coming to Netflix on March 8, on the ninth anniversary of the plane’s disappearance.
Nine years ago, Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 (MH370) was a scheduled international passenger flight from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing, which disappeared on March 8, 2014, with 239 people on board.
The flight departed Kuala Lumpur International Airport at 12:41 a.m. and was scheduled to arrive in Beijing at 6:30 a.m. The last communication from the aircraft was with air traffic control over the South China Sea, about 40 minutes after takeoff. However, the plane’s transponder stopped transmitting, and the aircraft deviated from its planned flight path, turning westward and flying across the Malay Peninsula before disappearing from radar.
Where did the plane go? Nobody knows till current date. Did it crash? Can’t say because no remains were found of the aircraft and people.
A massive search and rescue operation was launched in the days following the disappearance, involving dozens of countries and hundreds of aircraft and ships. The rescue and recovery mission became the most expensive in history, with pieces of debris washing up occasionally, it was never found.
The disappearance of MH370 remains one of the greatest aviation mysteries of all time, and the families of the passengers and crew continue to search for answers and closure.
Now Netflix is releasing a special documentary, on the same date of 8th March, entitled MH370: The Plane That Disappeared and it will explore all questions and theories around what could’ve happened in “great modern mystery” of the flight.
