Tom Hiddleston, best known for his role as Loki in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, is now eyeing a very different kind of performance — a musical. The British actor, who has become a household name through his portrayal of the trickster god, recently shared his desire to explore the world of musicals on screen.
Currently promoting his latest film The Life of Chuck, Hiddleston steps into a genre far removed from his superhero roots. The film, directed by Mike Flanagan, presents a deeply emotional narrative divided into three chapters exploring the life of a seemingly ordinary man. In one standout moment, the actor is seen dancing — a challenge that Hiddleston said required serious preparation.
“I’ve never danced quite like this before,” Hiddleston told The Hollywood Reporter. “It took a lot of practice and work to get comfortable with the moves and styles my character needed.”

While he hasn’t yet received any offers to star in a musical, Hiddleston made it clear that he’s eager for the opportunity. “No one’s knocked on the door just yet,” he said, “but I’m absolutely open to it.”
Fans familiar with Hiddleston’s dramatic and action-packed performances might be surprised by his musical aspirations, but those who have seen glimpses of his theatrical training know he’s more than capable of taking on such a role.
With his talent, versatility, and dedication to mastering new skills, it’s only a matter of time before Tom Hiddleston’s dream of performing in a musical becomes a reality.
