Addressing the chart battle between his 2014 mixtape Days Before Rodeo and Carpenter’s 2023 album Short n’ Sweet, Scott made it clear that he isn’t concerned about numbers.

“Charts, shmarts, man. Who measures that? Her album’s cool. Days Before Rodeo is 10 years old. It all works,” he said, shutting down any notion of rivalry.

Scott also hinted at new music in the pipeline, revealing that he is still working on finalizing his next album.

“I have some more tweaking to do on the album title,” he shared, suggesting that he is taking his time to perfect the project.

Reflecting on his creative journey, Scott explained:

“For Utopia, I was striving to push things to a high level. I’m still reaching for that. I’ve been having so much fun with music, producing more, and making a lot of the album myself. It’s making the process even more exciting. I can’t wait, actually.”
