Teen actresses Violet and Madeleine McGraw are proving they’re more than just rising stars—they’re powerhouses in the making. The sisters, aged 14 and 16 respectively, have captivated audiences with standout roles in major horror hits while also making a name for themselves behind the camera as producers.
A Blockbuster Duo: M3GAN and The Black Phone
Violet McGraw gained widespread recognition for her chilling performance in the techno-horror hit M3GAN from Blumhouse and Atomic Monster. Her portrayal of Cady—a tech-savvy 12-year-old caught between grief and artificial intelligence—helped the film become a breakout box office success, earning over $343 million worldwide.

Meanwhile, her older sister Madeleine McGraw earned critical praise for her role in the supernatural thriller The Black Phone, another horror juggernaut that contributed to the duo’s shared stardom.
M3GAN 2.0 Set to Expand the Franchise
Due to the massive popularity of both films, sequels were quickly greenlit. Violet returns in M3GAN 2.0, set to hit theaters on June 27, reprising her role as Cady. In the upcoming sequel, tensions between Cady and her aunt Gemma (played by Allison Williams) continue to rise as technology becomes an even bigger part of Cady’s world.
“Cady is definitely getting more into tech after the first movie, but Gemma isn’t a big fan of that… she doesn’t want Cady to turn into her or make another M3GAN,” Violet shared in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
Though Violet once had limited knowledge of artificial intelligence, filming M3GAN changed her perspective.
“I became more cautious of AI because of M3GAN. It scares me a little bit, and I never would’ve thought of it that way if I wasn’t in M3GAN,” she admitted.
Despite the eerie storyline, Violet has a soft spot for the film’s robot star and has even become close friends with Amie Donald, who brought M3GAN to life on set.
Building a Future Beyond the Screen
In addition to their acting careers, the McGraw sisters are already venturing into filmmaking through their own production company. They’ve successfully produced two original films: The Curse of the Necklace and High Stakes Holiday, with more projects in the pipeline.
“This is totally just the beginning of it,” said Violet. “And if we’ve produced two movies already, I think we can definitely go further.”
The talented siblings are eager to continue working together, both in front of and behind the camera, as they build a lasting legacy in Hollywood.
