On the latest episode of “The View,” Whoopi Goldberg, the Oscar-winning actress, addressed and dismissed speculations linking her to Jeffrey Epstein and his private island. The 68-year-old star unequivocally stated that she had no connections to the convicted sex offender and had declined any invitations to his private island.
Addressing the rumors, Goldberg expressed her surprise, stating, “Apparently, they said I was on the island. And I don’t go anywhere!” She continued, “So I’m just going to say — and there’s just been a lot of stuff recently, I don’t know what I’ve done to anybody — but there are a lot of the [tabloid] sites [and] people don’t realize they can be harmful.”
In addition to refuting ties to Epstein, Goldberg debunked other rumors circulating about her. She clarified, “I never got kicked out of Gordon Ramsay’s restaurant. I never got kicked out of Guy Fieri’s restaurant. I didn’t get kicked off Bill Maher’s show. I didn’t get into a fight with Oprah backstage here at The View. I mean, it just goes — it’s insane. It goes on and on and on.”
Goldberg’s comments come in the same week that unsealed documents revealed A-list celebrities, politicians, and others as alleged associates of Jeffrey Epstein during the time he was found guilty of committing sex crimes involving underage girls. Notably, Whoopi Goldberg’s name was not among those listed in the unsealed documents.
