As the Sussexes’ multi-million-dollar Netflix deal is reportedly set to end this September, speculation is growing about how Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will sustain their luxurious lifestyle going forward. Despite other income sources, including Meghan’s lifestyle brand, American Rêverie Orchard, the couple faces high expenses such as the maintenance of their Montecito mansion and 24/7 security.
Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliam has voiced concerns that Buckingham Palace may be worried about the potential release of another explosive memoir from the Sussexes. Fitzwilliam suggested that the royals could be anxious about Meghan publishing her own tell-all book, especially given her outspoken criticism of her time as a working royal.

Speaking to the Express, Fitzwilliam stated:
“What would sell in another memoir? Harry told us when Spare was released that he cut 400 pages as they would be toxic for the Royal Family. The royals will be concerned that the Sussexes could publish another memoir and this time it could be Meghan, or Harry could write a memoir about his early life.”
He added:
“When you have unhappy exiles, you either have reconciliation or you have trouble. I can’t see Meghan and Harry wanting to change their lifestyle. This devastating blow from Netflix raises the question of how they fund it without dishing more dirt.”
These remarks come amid other reports suggesting that Prince Harry’s rumored peace talks with King Charles may be financially motivated, possibly aimed at securing a “handout” from the royal family.
With mounting pressure and dwindling major media deals, all eyes will be on what steps the Sussexes take next—and whether those moves will create further challenges for the monarchy.
