Will Smith recently shared a chilling story from his past that left him so shaken, he had to check out of a hotel early. The 55-year-old actor opened up about his spine-tingling experience during a segment of The Tonight Show with his Bad Boysco-star, Martin Lawrence, while playing the game “True Confessions.”
While reading a card in the game, Will revealed, “I once had to emergency check out of a hotel because of a ghost.” The game involved each person reading a supposed fact, and the others trying to guess whether it was true or not.
The King Richard star continued to explain that the unsettling event occurred about 27 years ago at the Lanesborough Hotel in London. When asked to elaborate by host Jimmy Fallon, Will shared the bizarre details: “The ghost urinated in my friend’s toilet and cleared all of his messages from his phone.”
Though Jimmy joked, asking if the ghost was “a British ghost,” Will quickly replied, “We didn’t hear it speak.” Despite the lighthearted banter, Will made it clear that the encounter was unsettling enough for him and his friend to check out immediately.
“We assumed it was British,” Will laughed, “but it was scary enough for us to check out of the hotel.” The actor’s unusual ghost story added a spooky yet humorous twist to his appearance on The Tonight Show, leaving fans both intrigued and amused.
