Skittles, the beloved candy brand, has taken a unique twist in flavor with its latest creation – the first-ever mustard-flavored Skittle. Partnering with Frenchs, the candy maker aims to celebrate National Mustard Day on August 5 in a truly unexpected way.

The new yellow-colored candies boast a “tangy mustard flavor” while retaining the iconic chewy texture that Skittles are known for, as revealed in a press release reported by CNN.

For those curious to try this unconventional treat, French’s “Mustard Mobile” will be making stops in three major US cities. The candy enthusiasts in Atlanta can savor the mustard-flavored Skittles on July 31, followed by Washington on August 2, and New York on August 5.

Not only will people get a chance to taste this intriguing candy, but they can also participate in an online contest to win a special package of the mustard-flavored Skittles.

Ro Cheng, the marketing director of Mars, the parent company of Skittles, expressed the brand’s commitment to creating moments of everyday happiness and delivering unexpected experiences for its fans through this unusual flavor venture.

While Skittles typically introduces limited-edition sweet and sour flavors, this partnership with French’s marks a groundbreaking departure from the norm, showcasing the brand’s innovative approach to delighting its consumers.

The collaboration between French’s and Skittles represents a fresh way to commemorate a holiday. Last year, the McCormick & Company-owned French’s ventured into the realm of mustard-flavored treats, offering a mustard-flavored doughnut in New York. In a prior creative endeavor, French’s even introduced a mustard-flavored ice cream in 2019, cleverly blending “two all-American classics, ice cream, and mustard.”

As National Mustard Day approaches, candy enthusiasts and curious foodies alike eagerly await the opportunity to experience this audacious flavor fusion firsthand. Skittles’ adventurous foray into the world of mustard-inspired candy is sure to leave a lasting impression, proving that the brand is always willing to embark on extraordinary taste adventures for its dedicated fanbase.
