King Charles is reportedly open to mending fences with his son, Prince Harry, but only if the Duke of Sussex curbs his public criticisms of the Royal Family and limits his frequent interviews. Sources reveal that senior aides from both sides recently held a confidential peace summit, signaling a possible breakthrough in the long-standing royal rift.
According to The Mail, this secret meeting is a crucial step toward healing years of strained relations within the monarchy. However, insiders stress that a true reconciliation hinges on Harry refraining from what they describe as “endless rounds of broadcast interviews as his only way of communication.”

A royal insider told The Mirror,
“The King has consistently shown he loves both his sons and, as he has done before, is prepared to meet Harry when their diaries allow such an occasion.”
The private talks took place at the Royal Over-Seas League, a prestigious London private members’ club patronized by King Charles himself. Key representatives attended the meeting, including Harry’s chief communications officer Meredith Maines and the King’s communications secretary Tobyn Andreae.
While King Charles appears willing to repair his relationship with Harry, insiders suggest that bridging the gap between Harry and his brother, Prince William, remains a tougher challenge. The siblings reportedly had a physical altercation over Harry’s relationship with Meghan Markle, as detailed in Harry’s memoir Spare.
A source commented,
“His relationship with his brother is a different matter entirely and one which he will find much harder to repair.”
Despite these challenges, Harry has voiced a strong desire to reconcile. In a recent BBC interview, he said,
“I would like to get my father and brother back.”
Ultimately, the road to family unity may depend on Harry’s willingness to reduce public disputes and adopt a more private, constructive approach to communication within the royal family.
