The Princess of Wales Kate Middleton has been wished a very happy birthday by King Charles as she celebrates her 42nd birthday today.
The official Twitter account of the King and Queen posted a throwback photo of Kate from the Coronation last May, including an accompanying birthday message. It read: “Wishing The Princess of Wales a very happy birthday today!”
The picture shows Kate Middleton in her Coronation robes and stunning head piece smiling sweetly at King Charles who is also wearing his robes and the Imperial State Crown. The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh can be seen laughing in the corner of the picture.
Royal fans were quick to send their well wishes to Kate, and many were delighted to see the throwback picture.
One person wrote: “Aww what a beautiful picture! I love it [heart face emoji] Happy birthday to our amazing Princess of Wales! I hope she will have a great day and a wonderful new year! We all love you, Catherine.”
