In a recent revelation, royal expert and author Tom Bower has firmly asserted that Meghan Markle was the mastermind behind the leak of names associated with allegations of racism within the royal family. Bower, speaking to The Sun, claimed that Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, provided Omid Scobie with the names of King Charles and Kate, the Princess of Wales, who were identified as the two “racist royals” in Scobie’s Dutch-translated release, Endgame.
Bower emphasized his certainty, stating, “There’s no doubt in my mind that she fed him [Omid] those two names.” However, he pointed out a contradiction in Meghan’s earlier statements, noting, “But it didn’t make sense. She told Oprah that there was one conversation and there was no conversation between Charles, Kate, and Harry right at the beginning of their relationship. It was Charles and Camilla.”
Claiming insider knowledge, Bower revealed, “I do know who made the comments about Archie’s skin color. The names were mentioned in letters between Meghan and Charles that were exchanged sometime after the Oprah interview.”
The controversy surrounding the leak of royal names prompted Scobie to attribute it to a “translational error.” He suggested that Charles was appalled by Meghan’s sentiments and sought to address the issue as a representative of the family, expressing a desire for a conversation with Meghan. Despite potential disagreements, Scobie believes there has been ongoing communication between them.
As these allegations and counterclaims unfold, the dynamics within the royal family continue to be scrutinized, contributing to the complex narrative surrounding Meghan Markle and her relationship with the institution.
