Prince Harry and Prince William are once again making headlines — this time for clashing schedules that have reignited talk of royal rivalry.
Just as the Prince of Wales embarked on his first official engagement in Brazil ahead of the Earthshot Prize Awards, his younger brother, the Duke of Sussex, announced his own overseas trip to Toronto, Canada. According to Express UK, Harry’s visit will coincide with William’s environmental tour, raising eyebrows over the timing.
Harry’s trip, which has reportedly been “months in the planning,” will take place during Canada’s annual Remembrance period. The Duke is expected to meet with veterans, members of the armed forces, and military charities — a cause close to his heart. The visit holds sentimental value for the prince, as Toronto was the site of the inaugural Invictus Games in 2017 and the city where his relationship with Meghan Markle first became public.

Harry was invited by the True Patriot Love Foundation, a Canadian military charity, to participate in events honoring service members. His team emphasized that the trip was arranged well in advance, despite speculation that it might clash with William’s itinerary.
Meanwhile, Prince William touched down in Rio de Janeiro over the weekend, sharing his excitement about visiting Brazil for the first time. The royal will attend the Earthshot Prize Awards on November 5, followed by the United for Wildlife Summit and preparations for the upcoming COP30 World Leader’s Summit.

Kensington Palace marked the moment with a cheerful post captioned, “Olá Brasil,” alongside a video showcasing the prince’s arrival and warm welcome.
Royal insiders told the Daily Mail earlier this year that Harry had agreed to share his diary dates with Buckingham Palace in an effort to avoid overlapping engagements — a move seen as a gesture toward reconciliation. However, the latest timing has once again placed the estranged brothers under the spotlight.
“Harry has shifted into a new way of thinking,” one source revealed. “He wants to avoid conflicts with his family, but sometimes schedules simply collide.”
Despite the renewed tension, both princes remain focused on their respective causes — William on environmental innovation and Harry on veterans’ welfare. Yet, their parallel public appearances serve as a reminder that even oceans apart, the royal brothers can’t seem to escape comparisons.
