Prince Harry reportedly reached out to his brother Prince William, before he visited the UK in February to ask after his father King Charles, who is diagnosed with cancer.
As reported by PEOPLE magazine, although the Duke of the Sussex stayed in the UK for 24 hours during his visit to see his ailing father, he attempted to reach out to the Prince of Wales, who was only “concern” about his wife Kate Middleton after her abdominal surgery.
“It would be the normal run of things to go and see your sister-in-law who’s had a serious operation and also see your niece and nephews. But it isn’t normal. It’s terribly sad,” revealed the source.
Meanwhile, the author of King Charles’s biography, The Heart of a King, Catherine Mayer, also noted that “The family torment is an open sore. There is such a profound breach there.”
In addition to this, another royal author Robert Lacey expressed, “This is all to do with William’s wish to protect the institution of the monarchy, which he feels Harry can’t be trusted with.”
Robert Lacey added:
I don’t think William will ever agree to readmission of Harry into the family unless he clearly apologizes and moves forward.
