Prince Harry’s Christmas plans have been revealed, and they include a meaningful and heartwarming gesture for children who have lost a parent in the British Armed Forces. According to PEOPLE magazine, the Duke of Sussex will host a video call with members of Scotty’s Little Soldiers, a charity that offers support to children who have experienced the loss of a parent who served in the military.
In an email shared with members of the charity, as reported by the Daily Express, it was revealed that Prince Harry would be reaching out to wish the children a Merry Christmas. The email read, “Prince Harry would like to jump on a call with as many of our members as possible to wish them all a Merry Christmas.” It also conveyed his empathy, acknowledging that the festive season can be especially challenging for the children and that he wanted to let them know he is thinking of them during this time.
This video call will give members of Scotty’s Little Soldiers the chance to interact directly with the Duke of Sussex. “This is your chance to get to know the Duke loads better and find out what Christmas is like for a Prince!” the email added.
Additionally, the call will allow Harry to answer questions from the members, with five lucky children selected to help run the session and engage with Harry directly.
This heartfelt initiative from Prince Harry highlights his continued support for children who have lost parents in service to their country, bringing them a little extra joy and connection during the holiday season.
