Prince William found himself in a humorous situation on Wednesday during his visit to Somerset, when a past comment about an emoji resurfaced unexpectedly. The Prince of Wales, 42, was at Folly Farm in Pensford, where he met with local farmers and the cast of Clarkson’s Farm to discuss the ongoing challenges facing the agricultural industry.
During the visit, presenter Vick Hope took the opportunity to remind the Prince of a conversation they had previously in Birmingham. “You once told me that the aubergine emoji was your favourite,” she teased, catching William off guard.
With a laugh, William responded, “Ah, yes. Thank you for bringing that up. Maybe not quite the setting for it today.”
The exchange, which was both unexpected and lighthearted, amused everyone present, and Prince William was seen blushing at the reminder.
The fun moment with Hope was just one of several enjoyable exchanges during the visit. William also engaged in a lively conversation with Clarkson’s Farm star Kelab Cooper, adding to the warm and engaging atmosphere of the day.
The visit highlighted the Prince’s continued involvement in supporting farmers and raising awareness about the struggles of the agricultural industry, all while providing a bit of levity with the unexpected emoji reference.
