Royal tensions are reportedly on the rise after Prince William allegedly issued a firm ultimatum to Princess Beatriceand Princess Eugenie amid the ongoing dispute over Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson’s residence at Royal Lodge.
According to journalist Emily Maitlis, the future King may have called the York sisters to deliver “clear instructions”regarding their father’s future at the sprawling Windsor estate.
“For those unaware,” the York sisters’ parents, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, have been facing increasing pressure to vacate Royal Lodge after falling from royal grace. The couple reportedly appealed to King Charles III, asking for two separate residences — with Andrew interested in Frogmore Cottage, formerly occupied by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, and Ferguson eyeing Adelaide Cottage, located near Windsor Castle.

Meanwhile, ongoing protests around the Royal Lodge have only heightened tensions within the royal household, creating unease among senior members of the family.
Speaking on The News Agents podcast, Emily Maitlis — who famously conducted Prince Andrew’s 2019 Newsnight interview — revealed new speculation surrounding the situation.
“There was a question over whether there had been, earlier in the day, a meeting between Prince William and the princesses, Beatrice and Eugenie,” Maitlis said. “He reportedly told them, ‘You guys have to get your dad to move out of Royal Lodge, otherwise we will start re-examining the state of your own titles.’”
The journalist further claimed that King Charles was initially expected to visit Royal Lodge after his Vatican trip, but last-minute concerns forced officials to cancel the visit.
“When they saw the choppers and helicopters,” Maitlis explained, “they thought this had all gotten too big, too out of control. The King just went straight home and never came by.”
While Buckingham Palace has not commented on these claims, royal insiders believe this incident could mark a turning point in the monarchy’s efforts to distance itself from scandal — even if it means placing pressure on Andrew’s daughters.
As King Charles III and Prince William push for a leaner, more accountable monarchy, the fate of Beatrice and Eugenie’s royal titles may now hang in the balance.
