Princess Eugenie, who’s in the headlines for her potential royal role after teaming up with Prince William at a Buckingham Palace party, was over the moon as her son Ernest turned one.

Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson’s younger daughter shared her excitement and joy with her fans as she celebrated Ernest’s first milestone with a stunning post on her official social media accounts.

The Princess of York turned to Instagram to wish her “dear Ernest” a Happy Birthday and shared four photos of the young boy with a touching message.

Princess Beatrice’s younger sister Eugenie wrote: “One year of you my dear Ernest. Happy birthday!! We all love you so much, especially your enormous smile you give the world.. but you always save an extra special one for Mumma. Xxx.”

In one of the pictures, Ernest is seen sitting on the grass wearing a stunning blue sports top with his nickname ‘Ernie’ printed on the back in white.

Another image shows the little boy facing forward as his elder brother, August, gives him an affectionate kiss on the side of the head.

Eugenie’s post, which garnered huge praise and likes from fans, comes after King Charles III’s Trooping the Colour plan has been confirmed.

There are beliefs that royal sisters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie may appear with King Charles and Prince William on the famous palace balcony in the absence of Kate Middleton who’s undergoing preventative chemotherapy following her cancer diagnosis.
