Why Buckingham Palace had to ensure that King Charles was not dead yet?

Buckingham Palace confirms that King Charles III is still alive despite a viral report claiming otherwise. Buckingham Palace had to refute rumors of King Charles III’s is dead on Monday due to widespread reports in Russian media fueled by an unreliable “announcement.”

Speculation about Charles’ health has ramped up amid reports that the BBC is preparing for a major announcement regarding the royal family.

While some believe that the news will be about Princess Kate Middleton and her whereabouts following her abdominal surgery, other rumors suggest the palace will offer info on Charles’ cancer battle.

The statement, dated March 18 and bearing the official seal of the British monarch’s London residence, stated: “The following announcement is made by royal communications. The King passed away unexpectedly yesterday afternoon.”

The palace released a statement to the Russian state-run TASS news agency refuting the report.

“We are happy to confirm that The King is continuing with official and private business,” the statement says.

The 75-year-old British monarch has been receiving cancer treatment since late January.
