World Wrestling Entertainment WWE announced that the upcoming WrestleMania 40 broke the company’s all-time record in a single day. WWE revealed that almost more than 90,000 tickets were sold when the biggest event of the company’s tickets went on sale this past week on Friday.
WrestleMania 40 will take place in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, at Lincoln Financial Field on April 6 and April 7.
The previous record of WWE was set earlier this year at WrestleMania 39, which was main-evented by the winner of the 2023 men’s Royal Rumble Cody Rhodes challenging the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns for the precious title in WWE, WWE Universal Championship. That two-night event in Los Angeles, California, at SoFi Stadium, drew recorded gross of $21.6 million.
Meanwhile, the Entertainment Company said that On Location — the company’s travel package associate — had already moved more fan experience packages than WrestleMania 39, smashing the “all-time revenue record for a single WWE event in this area.”
2023 has been an outstanding year for WWE’s ticket sales. Earlier this month, SummerSlam, which took place in Detroit, Michigan, at Ford Field drew recorded gross for any non-WrestleMania event in firm history.
