Location Of the House

Benjamin N. Duke House is located at 1009 5th Ave in the Upper East side of Manhattan, New York City. This luxurious and historical, Duke House has been described as “Along Fifth Avenue the last remnants of the luxurious mansions facing Central Park that is still in private hands.”

Ancient history of the House

This stretch where only Duke House has been left was known as Millionaire’s Row around the turn of the century. But nowadays you have to be as close as Billionaire to afford your house there. New York City’s royalty isn’t distinguished from anyone. The Astors and the Vanderbilts built their family residence here and the street is known as an iconic hub for museums.

Construction of the House

The construction of Benjamin N. Duke was completed in 1899 that was started in 1899. The House covers an area of 20,000 square feet over eight floors with 25 rooms, including eight beds and 10 bathrooms. According to the listing, the house was designed in “Italian Renaissance palazzo style with strong Beaux Arts elements.” This House is massive by Manhattan standards.

2015: Remained Unsold

The home was listed first in 2015 but at the same price. It remained unsold but broke a record at that time as the priciest townhouse for sale in City. Now it’s on market for sale but this time it carries no record yet as the priciest townhouse if it’s sold for an actual price of $80 million then it will be the most expensive townhouse ever sold in Manhattan.

Actual Price

Instead of a property monthly tax of $23,000, the price of this massive house is USD 80 million.
