China’s top diplomat visited Russia.

Wang Yi, the top diplomat of China, visit Russia on Wednesday, where he met with the President of Russia Vladimir Putin, saying the two countries relationship had reached “new frontiers”. While last week the U.S. raised its concern over China supply of weapons to assist Russia in a war against Ukraine.

While China refused to criticize Russia’s invasion of Ukraine however Chinese official has denied providing any type of help that could support Russia’s forces. Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin spokesman also said that Beijing had already denied the accusation of the U.S. and there is nothing to add here.

On Wednesday Vladimir Putin told China’s top diplomat, Wang Yi, that he looks to visit Moscow with Xi Jinping, the Chinese President and the trade between the two countries would soon surpass last year’s $185 billion to $200 billion.

We await a visit of the president of the People’s Republic of China to Russia, we have agreed on this. Everything is progressing, developing. We are reaching new frontiers”.

Vladimir Putin told Wang Yi.

Before meeting with Wang Yi, Putin praised the ties between the two countries.

The cooperation between the People’s Republic of China and the Russian Federation on the global arena is particularly important for stabilizing the international situation”.

Wang told Putin, pointing to the warning of U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken of China supplied lethal support for Russia’s war effort.

The two countries’ relations were not aimed against any third party but would not succumb to pressure from third parties. Together we support multi-polarity and democratization in international relations. This fully meets the course of time and history; it also meets the interests of the majority of countries”.

Wang Yi earlier met with Sergey Lavrov, the Russian Foreign Minister, saying that China looked forward to settling new agreements, while no details were disclosed yet. China is the largest buyer of Russian Oil.

After U.S. raised concern over China helping to arm Russia, China rebuked Washington for its leadership of the Western alliance supporting Ukraine.

No matter how the international situation changes, China has been and remains committed, together with Russia, to make efforts to preserve the positive trend in the development of relations between major powers.
