On day 06, after 7.8 magnitude Monday’s earthquake, the death toll has reached nearly 24,500 in Turkey-Syria. The confirmed number of deaths in Turkey are 20,665. While 3,513 deaths are reported in Syria, which brings the numbers of death toll in Turkey-Syria, 24,178.
Indonesian search and rescue team reached Turkey
Along with two military aircraft, 24 tonnes of humanitarian aid, and more than 50 rescue staff – Indonesian rescue team depart from the Halim Perdanakusuma air force base to Turkey to aid victims of Monday’s earthquake.
Our task in this first batch is attached to the SAR (search and rescue) Team or the Response Agency in Turkey, this team will get SAR assignments around the Hatay area to search for victims in collapsed buildings.”

WFP request for help to provide hot meal to earthquake victims in Turkey-Syria
The food agency of UN, World Food Programme(WFP) appealing for $77 million to provide rations and hot meal to 874,000 quake-hit people in Turkey-Syria. Hot meal and food rations will be provided to the people who are in dire for hot meal in cold weather include 284,000 newly displaced people in Syria and 590,000 people in Turkey.
For the thousands of people affected by the earthquakes, food is one of the top needs right now and our priority is to get it to the people who need it fast.”
