The fans of the South Korean boy band, BTS, are blasting South Korea’s politicians for recalling the members of BTS who are serving in the military, to perform at the World Scout Jamboree’s K-pop concert on August 11 in Seoul.

It is South Korean law, all men aged 18 to 28 have to complete 18 to 21 months of military service under a conscription system implied to prevent attack from North Korea.

The law provides particular relief to their classical and traditional musicians, athletes, ballet, and other dancers if they have received ultimate rewards in certain competitions and are assessed to have improved the country’s reputation.

Other K-pop stars and entertainers aren’t accountable for such rights.

In 2022, BTS’s revealed that the South Korean band is taking a break to offer an opportunity to all fellows to follow their sole careers and serve their required military service.

On Wednesday, Sung Il-jong, a member of South Korea’s People Power Party requested that the Ministry of National Defence send all members of the BTS to the World Scout Jamboree’s concert.

However, it has been confirmed that the member of BTS won’t perform at the World Scout Jamboree’s K-pop concert.
