For the first time ever, the Indian team will print the ‘Pakistan’ name on their team’s jersey during Asia Cup 2023 event. The co-hosts, Pakistan, for the Asia Cup along with Sri Lanka will kick off the Asia Cup 2023 tournament on August 30 by playing against Nepal.
India, who mentioned their hesitation to travel to co-host, Pakistan, will play all their matches of the tournament in Sri Lanka. However, since Pakistan is the primary host of the Asia Cup 2023, India has to put ‘Pakistan’ on their team’s jersey.
Indian and other teams, who will participate in the Asia Cup tournament, will put the ‘Pakistan’ name above the ‘Asia Cup 2023’ logo. India will play began their tournament campaign by playing their first match against Arch-Rival Pakistan on September 2 in Kandy.
If both teams, Pakistan and India, manage to make in the Super 4s then they can play in the tournament twice or may face each other in the final of Asia Cup 2023.
