ICC announces prize money for Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023

On Friday, ICC has been announced an overall USD 10 million prize money for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 in India.

On September 22, ICC announced that the champions of the Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 will receive USD 4 million of the USD 10 million total prize pool. The runners-up of the World Cup Final to be played on November 19 in Ahmedabad at the Narendra Modi Stadium will receive USD 2 million.

All 10 teams will play each other once in a round-robin format in the Group Stage, while the top four teams in the points table move to the semi-finals. 

The breakdown of prize money allocations is as follows:

There’s prize money up for clutch for winning their Group Stage matches as well, with teams receiving USD 40,000 for every win. At the end of the Group Stage, teams that fail to achieve the knockouts stage will each get USD 100,000.

A total of 10 teams will be competing for the precious World Cup trophy in the 13th edition of the marquee event. India, the host, qualified by being hosts while New Zealand, England, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Australia, Afghanistan, and South Africa moved from the Super League.
