Just a couple of weeks has been passed and after the revised schedule of ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 was announced, the BCCI has encountered another headache about the schedule of the World Cup in India.

The official schedule of the 2023 World Cup was announced two months ago on June 27. Shortly after the announcement, India’s associations concerning about changing the World Cup schedule for causes ranging from insufficient security due to festivals. After a month and a half, the revised schedule of the World Cup was announced at the host’s request, and nine matches, including the Pakistan-India match, had a new schedule. Along with the revised World Cup schedule, the dates of ticket sales were also announced and are to go on sale on August 25. And now less than one week before the tickets began going on sale, BCCI and ICC have been facing another roadblock.

BCCI has got another request but this time from the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) to provide a break between the two matches scheduled on October 9 and October 10.

Hyderabad is scheduled to host two matches, one is between Pakistan-Sri Lanka on October 10 and the second is between New Zealand-Netherlands on October 9, as per the current schedule.

The Hyderabad police have raised considerations over providing sufficient security for the two back-to-back matches, according to the report. The report added that before rescheduling the fixtures, BCCI was not consulted HCA.

Indian Cricket Board, BCCI, and ICC have been facing a lot of criticism for mishandling the World Cup schedule and the ticketing procedure.
