The Trophy of ICC Men’s ODI World Cup 2023 commenced its tour in India, which is the host of the upcoming tournament, on June 27. It has toured Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, the USA, the West Indies, Bangladesh, Kuwait, Bahrain, Italy, France, and England.
The ICC Men’s ODI World Cup 2023 Trophy, one of the most desired prizes in the World of cricket, landed in Lahore on 4 September and is scheduled to leave on 6 September.
During this short yet significant tour, the trophy is being embarked on a swift journey, making visits to historical landmarks, cricket academies, and educational institutions, delivering fans from all walks of life a possibility to see the prize of cricket up close.
The trophy will be on display at the National Cricket Academy’s outdoor area, to allow media personnel to capture this historical moment, on 6 September at 10 a.m. for 40 minutes.
The ICC Men’s World Cup 2023 is scheduled to take place in India from 5 October to 19 November. Pakistan, which is currently the number one ODI side in the World, won the title in 1992 under the captaincy of Imran Khan when they beat England by 22 runs in the final at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Australia.
In the previous edition of the ICC Men’s World Cup played in England in 2019, Pakistan narrowly missed the possibility to qualify for the semi-finals, finishing with 11 points from nine matches and ending in fifth place.
