Oftentimes mugshots draw a moment of public embarrassment, but Donald Trump posted his mugshot on X (formerly known as Twitter) with a link to his fundraising page website. On Thursday, the Former US president posted his mugshot on X after his arrest in Georgia.
The current post was his first post since Jan. 8, 2021, after his account was suspended by Twitter indefinitely, citing worries he would incite additional roughness following the deadly storming of the U.S. Capitol building, which noticed a furious mass of his supporters trying to intercept Joe Biden’s certification as president.
Last November, Elon Musk reinstated Trump’s account shortly after he purchased the social media company. However the former President decided to reach his followers on his new platform, Truth Social.
Trump first shared his mugshot on Truth Social earlier on Thursday evening. Before that, he appeared in a video interview with Tucker Carlson on platform X.
His new post features a mugshot of Trump staring at the camera as he posed in Fulton County jail and has a connection to his upcoming presidential campaign.
