On Wednesday, Sukhdool Singh alias Sukha Duneke, a man wanted in India, was shot dead by unknown men in Winnipeg, Canada. Punjab Police sources reported that Singh had joined pro-Khalistan forces and had escaped to Canada from Punjab in 2017. He belonged to Punjab’s Moga district.
Indian news media, NDTV reported that detained gangster Lawrence Bishnoi claimed responsibility for Sukhdool’s slaying in Canada.
Punjab Police’s SSP Moga J Elanchezhian said Sukhdool’s “uncle and his daughter have given information about his death” and reported that police are corroborating the details.
Duneke was shot in an inter-gang feud, according to reports. Top Intelligence sources told News 18 that these killings are due to inter-gang feuds between groups. These groups want to hold the Khalistani movement for the sake of money, sources were cited as saying.
Sources added that this is nothing but a try to handle the immigration business. “They hire local gangsters to slay these people because their utility is over. Another worry is they will reveal everything they have done in India on behalf of these gangsters,” sources said.
