Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia addresses his nation to Federal Assembly. The ceremony took place at Gostiny Dvor venue in Moscow at noon. The speech was a long-awaited speech, the last time he delivered his address to parliament was in April 2021. The speech was long-awaited and also the lengthiest one, he spoke for one hour and 40 minutes. While his lengthiest speech to have been one hour and 52 minutes.

While delivering an address Russia’s president said that Russia wanted to solve this conflict in Ukraine peacefully but the Western Countries had other ideas and they wanted to do something for their advantage behind Ukraine’s back.

We were doing everything possible to solve this problem peacefully, negotiating a peaceful way out of this difficult conflict, but behind our backs, a very different scenario was being prepared.”

Putin told lawmakers from Russia’s parliament

“It was them who unleashed the war.”

Putin claimed that Moscow launched the invasion because it was expecting the Kyiv government to it’s first major address to the nation. Putin added that the purpose of Russia’s invasion was to defend our home and prevent attacks on historic Russian territory.

“West started the conflict in Ukraine.”

While addressing the nation Putin blamed the West to start the conflict in Ukraine. He added that Western countries, led by the United States, were seeking unlimited power in world affairs.

“Moscow defying the West’s attempts to ruin Russia’s economy.”

The Russian president said since the war began the West trying to ruin Russia’s economy but Moscow failed all of their attempts. He added trillions of dollars are at stake of the West to destroy our economy, but Russia’s income flows hadn’t dried up. Putin accuses the West of threatening Russia’s very existence with the Ukraine war.

Russia vowed to continue the war.

Vladimir Putin vowed that Russia will continue its war against Ukraine. He also accused the US-led NATO alliance of fanning the flames of the conflict by the mistake, believing that it could defeat Russia.

“Russia had done everything to avoid war.”

Vladimir Putin said we tried and done everything so we could avoid war, but Western-backed Ukraine has been planning to attack Crimea. Putin said the West had let the genie out of the bottle in a host of regions across the world by sowing chaos and war.

The people of Ukraine themselves have become hostages of the Kyiv regime and its Western masters, who have occupied this country in a political, military, and economic sense.”

Putin said.

Putin accused the West of the escalation of the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

Putin said.

West hasn’t succeeded in defeating Russia’s economy.

The Russian president said that the Western countries wanted to make Russia’s citizens suffer by imposing sanctions on Russia But had not succeeded in defeating it on the economic front.

They want to make the people suffer… but their calculation did not materialize. The Russian economy and the management turned out to be much stronger than they thought.”

Putin told lawmakers.
