On Tuesday, Sweden’s government would donate Ukraine ammunition and spare parts for formerly donated weapons systems worth over $300 million.
Pal Jonson, the Defense Minister, during a press conference, said that the military aid package to Ukraine, which is the 13th aid to the war-torn country, would contain ammunition and spare parts worth around 3.4 billion kronor ($313 million).
The ammunition and spare parts would be for CV-90 infantry fighting vehicles (IFV), Archer artillery systems, and Leopard 2 tanks.
The recent aid package will include mine-clearing equipment and ammunition for air-defense systems which Jonson said were required to control Moscow from acquiring air dominance in Kyiv.
In January, Stockholm announced that it would be sending 50 armored combat vehicles to Kyiv, and vowed to send its mobile Archer artillery system and NLAW shoulder-launched anti-tank missiles.
It added that along with the IRIS-T and HAWK air-defense missile systems, it was also sending almost 10 Leopard 2 tanks.
