“We are confident that Russia will lose the war,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in a speech

On Monday, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the President of Ukraine said that he was confident that Russia would lose the war in Ukraine.

Zelenskyy said in a speech outside the Danish Parliament that today we are confident that Moscow will lose the war. I’m sure that we will be victorious because the truth is on our side.

He made his statements a day after Denmark, along with the Netherlands, told they would supply America-built F-16 fighter jets to bolster Ukraine’s aerial force, as it pursues a grinding counterattack against Russian forces in the east.

The Ukrainian President said that the major thing is what we prove with our win, with our association … Together we prove that life is a matter, that people matter. Freedom matters and Europe matters.

Mette Frederiksen, the Danish Prime Minister said on Monday that her country would supply 19 F-16 fighter jets, six of them by the end of this year, eight in 2024, and five in 2025.

On Monday, Moscow warned that the supply of the fighter jets represented an “escalation of the conflict.”

Vladimir Barbin, the ambassador of Russia to Denmark said in a statement to AFP that by hiding behind a speculation that Kyiv itself must decide the requirements for peace, Denmark aims with its deeds and words to leave Ukraine no option but to continue the military conflict with Moscow.
