On day 06, after 7.8 magnitude Monday’s earthquake, the death toll has reached nearly 24,500 in Turkey-Syria. The confirmed number of deaths in Turkey are 20,665. While 3,513 deaths are reported in Syria, which brings the numbers of death toll in Turkey-Syria, 24,178.

WFP request for help to provide hot meal to earthquake victims in Turkey-Syria

The food agency of UN, World Food Programme(WFP) appealing for $77 million to provide rations and hot meal to 874,000 quake-hit people in Turkey-Syria. Hot meal and food rations will be provided to the people who are in dire for hot meal in cold weather include 284,000 newly displaced people in Syria and 590,000 people in Turkey.

The number of affected people WFP has reached with food in the wake of the #Türkiye–#Syria earthquakes: 

🔴 In 3 days: 64,000 people.
🔴 In 5 days: 115,000 people; double the amount.
