Amid the ongoing divorce proceedings, Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner are on the brink of settling their custody dispute involving their two young daughters, Delphine and Willa. Court documents recently acquired by People magazine shed light on the interim consent order that outlines the custody arrangement and visitation schedule for the celebrity couple.
The court-approved interim consent order delineates the custody plan for the couple’s two daughters. Delphine, at 15 months old, and Willa, at 3 years old, are at the center of this agreement.
The agreement specifies that the children will reside with Sophie Turner, renowned for her role in “Game of Thrones,” from October 9th to October 21st. During this period, Sophie has been granted the flexibility to travel with the children within the United States or the United Kingdom.
On October 21st, the custody of the children will then transition to Joe Jonas, the lead vocalist of the famous Jonas Brothers. He will have custody of Delphine and Willa until November 2nd.
This interim custody arrangement was carefully negotiated and established following three days of intensive mediation. The plan also lays out the specifics of transitioning custody until January 7th, 2024. Notably, this arrangement ensures that the children will celebrate Thanksgiving with their father and Christmas with their mother as per the agreed schedule.
The hope is that through the mediation process, Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner can find common ground and resolve their differences amicably. This potential resolution could potentially avert the need for a trial regarding Sophie’s allegation that Joe Jonas withheld their daughters’ passports, effectively preventing them from traveling to the United Kingdom. Sophie’s claim invokes international Hague Convention Treaty laws.
As the legal proceedings continue, the world watches with anticipation, hoping for a peaceful resolution that prioritizes the well-being and best interests of Delphine and Willa. The couple’s ability to work together to find common ground in co-parenting will undoubtedly be of paramount importance as they navigate this challenging chapter in their lives.
