Australia responding to significant cyber incident impacting ports: Minister

On Saturday, the Australia government said that it was responding to a “significant” cyber security incident affecting several of its ports operated by DP World Australia.

Home Affairs Minister Clare O’Neil said on social media platform X that the government was coordinating a response to a “significant cyber incident affecting a number of Australian ports.”

The Australian Government is aware of a cyber incident affecting ports operator DP World Australia. The Government is coordinating the government response to this incident, with the National Coordination Mechanism to meet shortly.

Government officials are working with DP World Australia “to understand the impacts,” she added.
