Dutch police arrest hacker for selling millions of details

Dutch police take a 25-year-old man got caught in custody for suspicious theft. On Wednesday, prosecutors revealed that a young man is in Police custody as a suspicious case of stealing and selling ten million people’s online details Worldwide.

A 25-year-old Dutchman was arrested last November after being investigated by Austrian police in Amsterdam.

Dutch Police took action after the appearance on a cybercrime forum of the dataset containing millions of names from Austrian television and radio license provider

In a secret operation, Austrian police bought the data set and then they traced an online address and reached home in Amsterdam.

The database includes personal details from Worldwide which includes Britain, China, Colombia and Thailand, and the Netherlands, the statement added.

The young Dutchman is facing charges of storing and making available non-public data. Moreover, the charges include possession of so-called phishing software and hacker tools and cryptocurrency laundering valued at $491,000.

He is in remand custody for 3 months on December 05 while the investigation is still in proceed.
